The remains of Major William H. Ridenour will be brought to Logansport Wednesday afternoon at 12:10 and will be taken to the residence of W. T. Giffe, 1000 North street, where the funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Major Ridenour was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 11, 1840 [sic]. He enlisted in the 18th Kentucky regiment when Lincoln called for volunteers to preserve the Union in 1861; served his country through the Civil War; lost his right arm in the battle of Richmond, Ky. He was married to Elizabeth Both [sic] at Logansport, Ind. In 1865 and lived here most of his life; for the past ten years having lived in Cleveland, Ohio, where he died Sunday, Dec. 9. Major Ridenour is survived by his wife and three children, two sons, E. C. Ridenour of Cleveland, O., and W. W. Ridenour of South Bend, and one daughter, Mrs. James G. Dombeier of Cleveland, Ohio.
