The Lawrence County Historical and Genealogical society is currently working on a project to document African American families/ history in the county. We are seeking living descendants of African Americans who have lived in the county. We are hoping to launch an exhibit in February 2015 and would especially like to find photographs and personal stories. Thank in advance to all who help with this project.
