In the Boone County Cenus 1870, page 19 the only Goldsborough was Harrison J. who lived in Jefferson Township, he was 32 years old and born in Indiana.

In the book "Early Wills of Boone County, 1833-1879, there is listed of page 34,

Green, Mary

Hus: deceased, not named

Ch: Caroline E. Goldsborough, Sarah E., Jacob L, William M, Mary A. and late husbands' son, Emanual

Exec: Harrison J. Goldsbury

Wit: A P Roush and Aaron Shrader and Elaner Seany

Date of Will 13 Aug 1867 Probated : 1 Oct 1867

* Note the change of spelling of the same man Harrison J. Goldsbourough/Goldsbury

In the Boone Co History Book 1984 it listed William Goldsborough as the first Blacksmith of the town of Dover, in Jefferson Township.

This all I found on the Goldsbourough/ Goldsbury.
There are many Goldberry in the county, even today, have you found in your searching a change of the spelling of their name? Hope this has helped :-)

Looking for info regarding the Goldsborough family that lived in Boone Co in the 1860 Census. Mary Ritchey Goldsborough age 69 in the township Jefferson. She was the mother of John F. Goldsborough who was also in the township of Jefferson with his family. A man by the name of Charley Full is also listed with this family in the Census but apparently had no family connections. It is beleived that Mary died in Boone and I need help in finding this info.
There were two other Goldsborough families also in this time period. They were a Wilson D. and a Henry Goldsborough . I would also like info on them because I,m sure they connect to my tree in some way. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I have some information you'll be interested in--the Goldsboroughs of Boone County IN were neighbors (and relatives by marriage) to GGGrandfather, William Darrough, and my GGrandfather, John Thomas Darrough. They lived in Shannondale area and all knew each other.

I have 48 years of diaries written by John Thomas Darrough, and they were wonderfully informative and interesting! contact me! dianeyi7@hotmail.com

Hello--Yes, check the alternate spellings. My GGrandfather was J H Goldsborough's brother-in-law, and he called him "Gooseberry" just for fun. I found this in one of the 48 diaries that my GGrandfather, John T. Darrough wrote (the diaries cover years between 1867 and 1925!).
