I was in error with my previous posting. It does appear that Clarence (Balthazar) and Julia Brown may have had older children than those listed on the 1900 IN census. To date, I've been unsuccessful locating Clarence / Julia in the 1880 and 1890 censuses to find references to those older children would would have been old enough to be on their own by the 1900 census. If I can locate that info, I'll post it for you.

It has been nearly 10 years since you posted your inquiry, perhaps you have already found the answers you sought.
What I can add is two of the three oldest children were Joseph G (1887-1970) and Rose Ellen Brown (1889-1972). These two, along with their parents (Charles) Balthazar and Julia (O'Neal) Brown are buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Kentland, IN.

If you (or anyone you know of in Balthazar's family) have any family history regarding Balthazar in the mid 1880's, please contact me. He and one of my great-great uncles had a business transaction in 1884 that I am trying to research.

I re checked the 1920 census and there are only 4 children - Margina, Luther, Arnell & Leota. We know William died young. That would lead me to believe it is Glenn Arnell. I'll dig deeper on that one. Thanks for the other info. It fills some holes and confirms some stuff. Really appreciate you taking the time to research for me.

I can't find Luther, but Lavina E. Coffman 1880-1917 is buried at Oxford West Cemetery, Oxford, Benton County, Indiana. This comes from a transcription of the cemetery that I have. There's a Luther Glenn Coffman 9/06/1912 - 12/14/1980. Could he be a son? He's also at Oxford West Cemetery.

A Grayden Coffman died in February 1965 at Hammond, Indiana. According to a newspaper clipping, he was also buried in Hammond. Was there a son Glenn? Maybe it's Arnel Glenn? Just a thought. The clipping says,
"Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Coffman and sons received a call Thursday morning of the death of his brother, Grayden Coffman in Hammond. His funeral and burial were Saturday at Clarence Huber Funeral Home and burial in Hammond. Glenn Coffman and nephew, Gene Hoggard of Oxford attended."

Looking for information on Luther Coffman b. Dec 18, 1880 Tippecanoe Co, IN married Lavina Esterday Nov 17, 1900. Lavina was b. abt 1880 in IN. She died young - abt 1917. Luther died aft 1920 bef. 1930. They had 5 children - Graydon, Margina, Arnel, Leota & Kenneth. Kenneth was b. 1911 and died 1919. Graydon married Nora Leone Price in 1935. Would like to know DOD and burial for Luther & Lavina and where the other children went. Any information greatly appreciated. They were in the 1920 & 1930 Bolivar, Benton Census.

Was in Benton Co. recently. Did some research at Ben Co. Library in Fowler on this Foster family because Fern Foster was briefly married into my family and had a child & grandchildren. At library found index to obits & other info at the Benton Co. Historical Society in Fowler-could not go there-was closed. FOREST (note Forest) Foster and wife Alice Martin and same dates you give are listed. The library has microfilm of local paper but the micoreader was not working. I also would like a copy of obit. Please respond if you would like further info.

I can't say definitely "yes", but I grew up in Earl Park, IN and I remember that "print factory" always had posters in their windows which actually faced the west.

Thomas Myers is a son of Issac Myers and Sarah 'Sally' Jackson who came from NC to Indiana. Sally died in Hamilton Co., IN and the children went to Clinton Co., IN, Howard Co., IN, White Co., IN and Thomas was in Illinois when his wife, Nancy Bindle/Brindle died bef 1870.

If anyone is searching these surnames I would certainly like to hear from you and am more than willing to share information on the Myers family.

My father went to elementary school in Fowler sometime between 1922 and 1926 I believe. His parents had divorced in Toledo Ohio and he and his siblings came to live with his grandparents Lew and Carrie Owings. Would there be any yearbooks from that period. His name was Robert Alfred Shaw.

St. Mary Catholic School Dunnington - Need photos of graduating classes

I have been working on a project of creating a digital archive for the church, St. Mary's Catholic School at Dunnington, Indiana; also copies going to the library and to Historical Society. (Also for sale to the general public, mailed for $4; just enough to cover all my costs)
I am done creating a CD with the pictures I have been able to find. I am still missing some years. If anyone has access to these group photos, I would be so grateful if you emailed me a copy (preferably at 300 dpi).

The images are in original version, enhanced version, and B&W version. The 1960's color images are just in color. 1967 image is quite faded, could not find a fresh photo yet.

Because the church allowed me to scan their archives, I am not making money on this project. I am just glad to assist in saving some historical photos.....and I love old photos.
The cost of a mailed CD is $4.00, first class. I reserve the right to change the price if supply costs and postage rates increase.
I do put a paper label on the CD; if you would like this left off, please request that I do this for you. I will still mail the label.

I think you are right.... no way of really knowing unless I go for the birth cert. That will be my next step. In fact, I will do it today while I am thinking about it.

When I get real stuck and frustrated, I go to cemeteries in my area for people to get pictures. My husband just laughs. Makes for nice rides in the country though. She have helped me so much and it is nice to have someone to see things that I might miss.

No, I know that Charles is the son of Manual because family have said that was his dads name, and that Manual is the son of Millard and both of us have found some proof of that and I can't remember how I tied Millard to Layton unless I found it on someone on ancestry's site but as I look now, I can't tie them together.

Wow... lots of information. Ok so it shows that Manual was Millard and Cordela's son. Now all I need really is to see who Manuals kids were to tie it all together. On this family, it seems to be easier to work top to bottom instead of the other way around. If I needed to find a birth cert from the 1940's on a child that I think was Manual's, from Creary Co, do you know where I might go?

Wow, it's like my birthday! LOL The last one you sent has the birth of Charles E Young born July 16, 1948 to Lottie is the one that I can't seem to find proof of the father. Any ideas?
