Green Pittman m. # 1 Elizabeth Davis Hammond and they had several children (including Aaron and Eliz.)sometimes @ 1840 Elizabeth (wife) died. In 1841, Green married Barbary/Barbara Kirts Smith. Barbary was listed in 1840 census as "head of Household". Barbary m. #1 Nelson Smith in 1833 and had 3/4 children (including: Ella Smith Hildebrand, Alva Smith, and Nelson Smith (d. @ 1900). Barabary & Green Pittman had one child in Bartholomew Co., IN named Margaret Almyra b. 1847. In 1850, the Green Pittman family moved to Fayette Co IL. None of the children from previous marriages are listed on any census with Barbara & Green leading me to believe some of the children from their first marriages possibly stayed in Bartholomew Co. IN.
