Nearly all of the 6 lines of my ancestors came from the East to the Fort Wayne-New Haven area on the Erie-Wabash Canal. Could the passengers debark anywhere along the canal or only at pre-determined stops? Were there specific stops at New Haven and Fort Wayne, and, if so, where? Aloha and mahalo from Honolulu.
