Although I am not related to Emily, I found a Memorial Service flier amongst some blank forms given to me recently. So in the hopes that this information may be useful to someone now or in the future, I am posting the flier information. I cannot respond to questions about her family, as this is the only information I have. I have posted this under Obituaries in Allen County, Indiana board since she passed away in Fort Wayne.

Biography of
Emily Ann Miles Nieten

Emily Ann Miles Nieten was born May 1, 1920 in
Indianapolis to Henry L Miles and Beatrice M. Sharp
Miles. After growing up and attending Butler University
for a year, she married Gerald Nieten on June 1, 1941.
She was a successful homemaker and a loving and faithful
wife and mother for over 50 years. She was a member of
Roberts Park United Methodist Church.

Her loving concern for her family was evident to the very
end of her life. Her joyfu1 commitment to her immediate
and extended family was an encouragement and example
to others. The memories of her time with her family both
in their Indianapolis home and at their home at Chapman
Lake will remain with the family.

Although she suffered various physical ailments for years,
God graciously answered the prayers of family and friends
in extending her life to see her four children raised and to
enjoy her nine grandchildren. Emily Nieten went to be
with the Lord on August 13, 1997 at Lutheran Hospital in
Fort Wayne. She will be sadly missed and joyfully
remembered by her husband, Gerald, her children, Jerry,
Peggy (Gaunt), Donald, and David, her nine
grandchildren, sisters Betty and Phyllis, and her many
other family and friends

Blessed Assurance

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God.
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, perfect delight!
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission – all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long
