Earl D. Walmsley Dies At Saginaw
Earl D. Walmsley, 83, of Saginaw, Mich., died Thursday afternoon while being taken from his home to St. Luke’s hospital in this city.
He was born at Decatur, Ill., Jan. 30, 1879, and was married in 1928 to Miss Elizabeth Schneider of this city.
Mrs. Walmsley was employed for many years as superintendent of installation for the telephone company in Saginaw.
Surviving are his wife and a number of nieces and nephews in Decatur and vicinity.
The body will be brought to the Gillig & Doan funeral home in this city for funeral services and burial. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. (11-15-62)
Walmsley Funeral Rites Here Tuesday
Funeral rites for Earl D. Walmsley, 83, who died Thursday at Saginaw, Mich., will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gillig & Doan funeral home, with the R. Rev. Msgr. Simeon Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday until time of the services.
Only near survivor is his wife, formerly Elizabeth Othilda Schneider. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Adeline Wagner, Mrs. Frances Peterson and Norbert Schneider, all of Decatur. (no date)
