Martin Laughlin dies at hospital

Martin A. Laughlin, 68, of 3802 Winter street, Fort Wayne, a native of Geneva, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Parkview memorial hospital. He had been ill for two months.

A resident of Fort Wayne 45 years, he was retired from the General Electric Co. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic church and its Holy name society and Legion of Mary.

Mr. Laughlin’s father served two terms as superintendent of the Adams county home many years ago.

Surviving are one brother, Emmett Laughlin of Chicago, and one sister, Miss Mary Laughlin of Fort Wayne.

Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Tom Mungovan funeral home, and at 9 a.m. in St. Peter’s Catholic church, with Msgr. John Bapst officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery in Decatur. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The rosary will be recited at a8 pm. Friday. (Dec. 6, 1967)
