James A. Rhodes, 49, RR 1, Monroe, died early Thursday at the Bluffton Clinic Hospital, Bluffton, following a six month illness.
He was a retired Navy veteran and a member of the Monroe U.B. Church.
Survivors include his wife Earline (Bollenbacher) Rhodes.
Other survivors are his mother, seven children, and two sisters, including Pollie Rhodes, Geneva and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 am at the Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home with Rev. M. C. Macklin officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion.
