Emil A. Nagel, 88, Berne, died Friday in Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur, after suffering from pneumonia for two weeks.

A native of Canton Targau, Switzerland, he was married June 21, 1969, in Portland to Wilma Bricker, who survives.

Nagel was retired from Berne Furniture after several years of employment.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons; one stepson; two daughters; one sister; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Services were held Sunday in the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne. Burial was in the MRE Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Chalet Village in Berne.
