Peterson rites to be on Saturday
Mrs. Phyllis Ilene
Peterson of route 6,
Decatur, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the
Decatur Community Care Center following an extended illness. She was 39 and a lifelong resident of
Adams county.
Mrs. Peterson, born in
Decatur on February 13, 1935, was a housewife and a member of the Church of God and Order of Eastern Star. She was married on September 27 of 1963 to K. Richard
Peterson, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Mrs. Joe (Linda)
Eyanson, route 6,
Decatur, and Vern and Kenneth, both at home; and her stepmother, Mrs. Lottie Mitchell.
Her parents, Kenneth and Gertrude
Hawkins Mitchell, are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Winteregg,
Linn &
Haggard Funeral Home, with Rev. Arthur R. Burnett in charge of the services. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be in the
Decatur Cemetery.
