It's hard to help with such scant information. What time period are we talking about? What's your grandfather's name? Etc. With a few more clues we stand a better chance of finding something.

The time he was born was in 1900's to 1906.I like he was born in Lyman county South Dakota I don't know when he moved out of sd.His parents are herman and bertha kickbusch scholz. More information if you need it. thanks ronda

Hi Ronda, Why you're posting on an Il. board for someone born in SD. is beyond me, but in any event, in 1910 Lyman co, SD. is a charles H. scholz. Charles is 53, wife Bertha 43, both born Ger. 4 daughters in the household and a son Arnold, 8. Dick

I posted this on this web sight because on the sister's died paper that I found said that Jeannette was living in chicago in or about 1926.Arnold was living in this state to at one time!! I am hoping that there is family still in the area! . I have been looking for more information in Lyman county not found to much This family moved around alot..Thanks ronda It really means alot. My father passed when I was 2 years old. Not alot of family left. I have not found that to many people know that there were ten children born to this family. Martha,Irma,Jeannette,Herman Robert or uncle bud,Elsie,Mata Arnold, Albert died at the age of two in stock tank there is two more but don't know there names!!!!!!

thanks ronda I am just looking to find someone out there to fill in the blanks. I have hit the brink wall hard!! I have that census record, that is how that I found that great grandparents were both married twice!I have a mike son of Irma Willsey that said that he didn't know that his mom had that many sisters and brothers.I also have cousins on Elsie Gamble side that didn't know about all the other family members too!!
