My grandfather was born and lived in Galena in his childhood. His name was Robert Lauritzen, born 13 Sept 1913. I know he had 2 sisters, but I think they were younger. From what I have been told, he was first generation in this country, his parents being from Denmark. But then, my grandmother has told me a handful of other lies about that side of the family, so I will not go on this being the truth. I remember my grandfather promising to take my 2 cousins and myself to Galena to see where he grew up, but he passed away (1981) before he could do so.

ANY information would be appreciated. I believe one of the sister's names is Beryl.....but don't quote me. I know that is what we call her now. There is also an "Aunt Jane", but not sure that is her first name. (It might be Mildred)
