Would you have any dates? Birth, marriage, emigration, death? Locations?

Hi Anthony:

After reading your original message I've concluded we are talking about different August Weissenberger's. My August was born to Paul Weissenberger, born Jan 27, 1797 and Maria Mayer Weisenberger born Aug.27 1798. They married in Katholisch, Weisweil, Waldshut, Baden, Germany , May 13, 1820. Augustin was born Sept. 1, 1820 and married Cecelie Spotsnagel in 1846 in Missouri.

Hi Mary,
I have the feeling that we will soon be tracing the same family lines, although I can not prove it at the given time. I have recently acquired information that puts our families in the same area.
My g-g-grandfather, August, was also born in Katholisch, Rechberg, Waldshut, Baden on 14 August 1864 and was christened there on 15 August 1864. I am thinking that Katholisch might actually mean a catholic record. Perhaps it does in your marriage record as well.
My g-g-grandfather's father's name was Roman Weissenberger. Do you have that name in your tree?

Hi Anthony:

Thanks for the reply. I have not seen a Roman Weissenberger in the information I have but that doesn't mean he couldn't be in the same line as my information is rather limited. I think the family was either Lutheran or Catholic back then.

If we keep searching maybe we will find the connection.
