Hi,
Does anyone have any information about the GErman Evangelical Association church in Low Point or Black Partridge? I saw it on the 1898 Livingston County History page. At one time, there were two ministers associated with this group, Rev. Martin Gronewald and also Rev. Jacob Schaifle. It is my understanding that this group were also considered Albright Methodists, many converting from Lutheran based churches to this new Methodist theology popularized by Rev. Jacob (Albrect) Albright in 1819.
The ministers of this orgaznization performed services or converted some of my family members while they lived in Low Point.
Other names associated with the Partridge Church are Rev. W.A. Stauffer, Rev. A. Good. There was also a Rev. H. Bauerle from LaSalle.
Any thoughts?
Tammy
