Looking for additional info on my Great grandfather, Claus Ekstedt. Claus was born in Sweden June 26,1878. Moved to Cherry Valley Illinois in 1888. Served in the Spanish American war (1898). Married Sophia Carlson abt 1902. Had three children, Mamie, George, Peggy. Died Oct 26,1910, Rockford Illinois. Would like to know if his parents lived in Cherry Valley. Did he have any brothers or sisters? Was there a obit in the local newspaper, etc. Any info would be greatly appericated!!!!
