JAMES "ARTIE" GREENEY, 80, of North Walker Street, Marion,
died Saturday (November 26, 1988) at 11:45 p.m. at his home.
Mr. GREENEY was born September 4, 1908, in Williamson County,
the son of FLETCHER and EMMA CULBRETH GREENEY.
He was a retired railroader with CE & I and a member of the
Indian Camp Baptist Church. Mr. GREENEY is survived by his
friend, ANNA KILLMAN, of Marion, two sons, JAMES A. GREENEY,
and CHARLES GREENEY both of St. Charles, IL, and one daughter,
RUBY GREENEY CLOSE, of Romeoville, IL. He is also survived
by one sister, NINA BYRN of Marion, six grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
He is preceeded (sic) in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation for Mr. GREENEY will be a Mitchell-Hughes Funeral
Home in Marion from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, with services
at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, the Reverend David
Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
