My grandfather's baptism certificate lists the church as "der Evangelisch Lutheran Immanuels Kirche za (zu?) New Dennison, Ill". I have located the "populated area" that was known as New Dennison in East Marion Twp. Williamson County and my great-great grandparents' farms. I cannot find any trace of an Immanuel or Emmanuel Lutheran Church, or even any Lutheran Church in the East Marion Twp.

Any information on where it was? What became of it? What happened to the records? What synod, to help track down records.

My great grandparents Christ Hassebrock and Louise Boester were married in Williamson in 1900. His mom Sophia, brothers (Fred and Herman) sister (Minna married to John Soldner) and her parents John Henry and Minnie Boester moved there sometime between 1885 and 1899. The Boesters remained. My grandfather Raymond was born in Marion in 1917.
