I am looking for someone who would be willing to do an extraction of the following death record:
Almeda S. Bailey - died in Williamson County on March 24, 1937. I will be happy to pay for your time and trouble. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. I hadn't gotten any replies, so I ordered the death record and found to my disappointment that it was not the one I was hoping for. :o( I have since posted it on line in the hope that it might be of benefit to someone else.

Thank you again.

Let me know if you need any more help in Williamson County, as I am living here now. Who was it you were searching for?

I am unable to find death records on my great grandparents, so that is why I am going to look at the records myself. Did you know that many (not all) but alot of the Texas Death Records are online at familysearch.org? If you need help finding them let me know. It is a free site! I say most, because I found a death record for my Great Great Grandmother on Footnote, but can't find it on the Texas Death Record on familysearch. I think it is the way they were indexed. *sigh*

Ooops! I can't believe I didn't put the state in my original message! I was actually looking for someone in Williamson County, Illinois. I am looking for Almeda (Meta) Sarah Terrell (born 1885), who married and divorced Byrd F. Beach in Indiana. I find her mentioned in her sister's obituary as Mrs. Meta Bailey. And that's all I can find on her. The death record I ordered for Almeda S. Bailey turned out to be an infant.

Yes, I love familysearch.org. I spend a lot of time there. I help out at the Quincy Illinois Family History Center and use it a lot to help patrons. But sometimes I can find a particular record, and then when I go back and look for it again, I can't seem to find it. I am not sure why. But I hope to begin helping with indexing fairly soon. Maybe I will even find my elusive Almeda S. Bailey!

Thank you for your kind offer. Who knows, Almeda may have gone to Texas! If you have any ties to Illinois, please let me know. I will be happy to help you search.

Thank you Marilyn, that is very kind of you. I have searched in Texas for soooo long! LOL But they have been here since the beginning of Texas. They were one of the first 300 families in Texas. And before that they were through the South. Since it took me 32 years to find my Great Grandparents, I doubt I will need Illinois any time soon. Ha ha But thank you.....Laura
