Does anyone know where Vancil Bend is located and/or where George Vancil's home was located. If not, do you know any Vancil relatives that might know where George Vancil's home was located when it was destroyed by the Tri-State Tornado on March 18, 1925? the George Vancil farm was destroyed. It was located near the Vancil Bend of the Big Muddy River and was somewhere near the Weaver settlement. George Vancil was killed and his wife, son, and daughter Violet (age 8) were injured.
