Deceased Name: Darrell Leon Turnbough

Age 84, of Joliet, formerly of New Lenox, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet, IL, after a courageous 23 year battle with Leukemia.
He is survived by his loving family; two daughters, Wilda (Norman) Legner, Linda (Scott) Hamende; three sons, Kenneth (Mary) Turnbough, Roger (Diane) Turnbough, Robert Turnbough; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. and Eva (nee Daly) Turnbough; wife, Florence Rae Turnbough; two sons, Darrell Ray Turnbough and Richard Lee Turnbough; five brothers, William Glenn Turnbough, James Russell Turnbough, Virgil jackson Turnbough, Harold Leo Turnbough and Charles Edward Turnbough.
Darrell retired in 1982 from Caterpillar, after 31 years of service. He was a member of United Methodist Church in New Lenox, and enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening and spending time with his family.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, Sunday, June 19th, from 2 to 4 PM & from 6 to 8 PM, and again on Monday, June 20th, from 11 AM until time of funeral service, 12 Noon at United Methodist Church, 339 W. Haven, New Lenox. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
