I am trying to find the date of death for Anton (Anthony) OLSZTA. He was born about 1888 in Russian Poland and was last seen in the 1930 Census in Joliet. I cannot find him in the Illinois Death Index nor can I find him in the SSDI, which leads me to believe that he died sometime in between.

Any help with a date of death would be appreciated.

I sent for the death cert for Anthony OLSZTA of Joliet, who died 18 Dec 1951 in Chicago. It lists his parents as Andy OLSZTA and Margaret UNKNOWN. I was looking for an Anton whose parents were Anton OLSZTA and Katherine MONDZELEWSKI ... so this does not appear to be my family.

I hope this helps someone else.

Just to make sure, request a search at Joliet Library for an obit. Could be Anton had more than one wife. OR his death certificate might have been wrong about mother's name.

Might also try church records, if you know which church they(or their children) attended.
