Classification: Query
Surnames: Harting, Maybury, Mayberry, Schaller, MaGee
Aldus N. Harting, b. 1852 Lancaster PA, moved to Sterling with family (Uriah and Evannah Benner Harting) ca. 1865, married Mary K. Maybury/Mayberry (b. 1850 in PA, d. 1899 in Sterling).
Aldus married Anna Schaller in 1902 and had 3 children, and Anna moved the family to MN after Aldus' death in 1916. Aldus and Anna were my g-g-grandparents, and Anna sometimes spoke of her stepchildren from Aldus' first marriage, but she never gave details. I have found vague information on one daughter, Ella Harting MaGee of Sterling, but I believe there were other Harting children and I cannot find census records of the family in the 1870s or 1880s to clarify. I would love additional information on my great-grandmother Harting's half-siblings, all of whom were born in the 1870s and 1880s in Whiteside County.
