I'm looking for some more information on my grandfather, Carl Stutzke. The only thing I could find so far is his SS# application, which gives the following info:
Carl Julius Stutzke
DOB Dec. 9, 1897
Place Sterling, Whiteside, Ill.
Father Herman Stutzke
Mother Matilda Pettelkan

I've written to Morrison, but they said they don't have a birth certificate for him. I'm 99% sure he spent his entire life in Sterling - dieing there in the late 1980's or so. He was married to Valine Oliver (although I don't know when), and she died in the late 1970's if I remember correctly (between Bob Mosher and the County Clerk's office I already have a fair amount of info on her and her parents). They had about 5 children, including Carl Jr.., Elaine & Lawrence.

Any info that anyone could provide would be appreciated.
