I am looking for James Lyen and Cyrena Rowe who were married in Warren County, IL on Mar 9, 1865 and moved to Ely IA later. I believe James' siblings are A.B. Lyen who married Ruth E. Norman, Andrew Lyen who married Matilda Peckenpaugh, Henry H. Lyen who married Lucinda Mardes, and Polly Ann Lyen who married John Vantasell - also all in Warren County between 1869 and 1881. Henry might be a son of one of these instead of sibling. I also think their father might be Peter J. Lyen who died on the boarder of IL/IA at Fort Madison and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery. This is not a common spelling of this last name and it seems as though it is one family that came into Warren County and spread from there. My Lyen is Vergie Lyen who was born in Ely, IA, married Mortimer Carpenter of Cedar Rapids, and died in California.
