Ruth L. Efaw

MONMOUTH - Ruth L. Efaw, 97, of Monmouth, formerly of Roseville, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at the Community Care Center in Monmouth.

She was born Oct. 24, 1903, in Swan Creek Twp. to Elmer and Anna (Mitchell) Williams. She first married Herman Ross. She later married Earl W. Efaw Feb. 12, 1938, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Sept. 23, 1967.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, with Rev. Mark Schleeter officiating. Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospitals.

Donald Claire Ross

MACOMB - Donald Claire Ross, 80, of Macomb, died at 8:43 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2004, at McDonough District Hospital.

He was born June 12, 1923, in Roseville, to Herman E. and Ruth (Williams) Ross. He married Martha F. Stice July 29, 1944, in Dodge City, Kans. She died Dec. 4, 2003.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at his church, with Rev. William Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post 6 and VFW Post 1921. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is coordinating the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church.

Donald Ross

MACOMB - Donald Claire Ross, 80, of 132 Kurlene Drive died at 8:43 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at McDonough District Hospital.

Born June 12, 1923, in Roseville to Herman E. and Ruth Williams Ross, he married Martha F. Stice on July 29, 1944, in Dodge City, Kan. She died Dec. 4, 2003.

He also was preceded in death by one brother.

Surviving are five sons, Milton (and Dawn) of Centerville, Ohio, Douglas (and Martha) of Virginia Beach, Va., Kevin (and Janet) of Knoxville, Tenn., Drexel (and Patricia) of Kitzengen, Germany, and the Rev. Duncan (and Michele) of Duluth, Minn.; one sister, Mary Ward of Monmouth; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A member of Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1921, he was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran, serving as a B-24 pilot in the Pacific Theater.

He was an insurance and investments professional representative for 50 years.

He was a member, elder and trustee of First Presbyterian Church of Macomb.

He served as commissioner and chairman of the Macomb Airport Authority.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at his church, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. William Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by his VFW post and American Legion Post 6. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church.
