My ancestors James and Sarah Armstrong lived in Lawrence county near the end of their livesbut as of this time I have had no luck finding any death information about either one. Prior to 1870 they had lived in Wabash county. and many of their family were buried in cemeteries such as Armstrong cem., and Allendale cem. Is it possible for someone to look at obits somewhere and check for these two?

James M. Armstrong b. 14 Aug, 1928 in Wabash, IL. last seen in the 1880 census in Lawrence county, IL.

Sarah Elizabeth (litherland) Armstrong, James's wife, b. abt 1831, and died between 1875, (which is the date of birth of her last daughter), and 1880, (where James shows up as a widower.)

As I stated, James and Sarah and children moved from "pleasant Hills" in Wabash county to
"denison" in Lawrence county, some time between the 1860 census and the 1870 census. James does not appear to be in the 1900 census either, I have searched the various death indexes and no luck there either. Any assistance or information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you search the illinois statewide archives?
If not try that and see I did find a James M. And Sarah there. But the age might be off a little bit.

You might want to check with Kerry Armstrong-he is in the message boards and has alot of information on the Armstrongs in the northern Wabash County area.
