Hello, my great grandfather was Ira Isaac Treece of Carterville, IL. I believe that he was born in Union County on May 30, 1892. He married Lillie Mae Treece. Their children are Dorris Franklin (male), Geneva Mae, William Lloyd, Charles Marvin, James Henry, and Ernest Marshall. This generation of Treeces go by their middle names, which makes census records particularly confusing. Ira Isaac died in 1971.

I cannot find a record of his parents' names. I have searched and searched with no luck. The only clue I have is a census record from 1900 that states he was living with his aunt and uncle, Thomas W. Smith and Susanna Ann (Treece) Smith.

If anyone knows how to trace the lineage backwards, I would be forever grateful. I have the Treece family going forward.
