I contacted the Freeport City Cemetery this summer so I know that my g-g-grandfather John Lohr (1850-1900) is interred there with a marker. However, I was not able to locate the marker when I visited, nor have I been able to get anything but an answering machine at the cemetery's phone number. If I had a general location in the cemetery it should be relatively easy to find, but on the day I was there we were running up against some time constraints & poor weather.
1. Does anyone possess a plat or transcription of the cemetery that would help me locate his marker?
2. Is the cemetery staff gone for the season or does anyone have another phone number?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
