Yes, I did get the marriage license but there was no info about Charles Jesse's parents. I think the Charles and Caroline Jesse in
Honey Creek in the 1860 census could very well be the parents of Charles Jesse b. 1838, but I can't prove it. They totally disappear after that census. I can't find a probate because I don't know where they died. They could have died without a probate. Another problem is that Charles Jesse b. 1838 is in the 1860

Stark County, Il. census as
Jesson, a laborer for Calvin White, the grandfather of Charlotte
Brewer, his future bride. I have been told that it was not unusual back then to be in two census. Charles parents could have had him included even though he wasn't there. I don't know where else to look for Charles Jesse, b. 1803.
