The American History & Genealogy project STARK county website was updated to include the following new items:

SCHOOLS:

I added an 1880s map, showing the location and names of most of the rural schools, plus a photo of Lafayette High School.

MARRIAGES:

The Marriages section has been updated as well ~

MILITARY:

The Military section now includes information on some STARK county soldiers from the 112th Regiment, Co. F, D, E, G, & B.

There is also a fascinating account of George Nicholas' captivity in rebel hands during the Civil War.

PEORIA county was updated too -

CEMETERIES:

Maple Ridge Cemetery: ~40 new tombstone photos, contributed by Carol Abbott and Ben Tieszen

Princeville Cemetery: family tombstone photos contributed by Gladys Evans Hyde - surnames include
Cutler, Hootman, Hyde, Potts, Tonkin

Southport Cemetery: nearly the entire cemetery, with the exception of a few illegible stones. Photographed by Yours Truly and my Reluctant Husband. :)

Comb Cemetery: ~130 tombstone photos

St. Patrick Cemetery: ~150 tombstone photos

Slane Cemetery, inventory contributed by Mel Slane
