Cecil Arlin Bailey, age 75 of 70 Circle Drive, Reidsville, N.C., died at his residence early Tuesday morning, March 2, 2010 after a decline in health for several years.

Mr. Bailey was born October 27, 1934 in Dawson, Illinois, a son of the late Roscoe Bailey and the late Virginia Satterfield Bailey.

He had lived most of his life in Danville and had lived the past twenty years in Reidsville. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in the Maintenance Department until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Matilda Unger Bailey of Danville, three sons, Matt Bailey and Vickie Barker of Danville, John Bailey and wife, Kim of Danville, Mark Bailey and wife, Beth of South Boston, Caretaker and special friend, Frances Burns of Reidsville, N.C., four sisters, Alberta Bailey, Martha Bailey, Rosie Bailey, and Gail Bailey; four brothers, Larry Bailey, Terry Bailey, Albert Bailey, and Dean Bailey; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm., Thursday, March 4, 2010 from Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel by Rev. Daniel Lackey. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2010.
At other times the family will be at the residence of his son and daughter in law, John and Kim Bailey, 221 Sharon Lane, Danville, Virginia.
