Looking for the parents and descendants of John and Margaret Goodman of Sangamon County, Illinois. John was born ca 1806 to ? (possibly John Sr.) in North Carolina, and Margaret (LNU) was born ca 1809 in Kentucky. Children according to 1850 census were: George, Nancy, James, William, Catherine, and John. I believe I am descended from George, married Catherine Early. In the 1840 census there are two Johns, Jr. and Sr. A John Goodman is listed as being an early settler, who died in 1843. There was also a Tobias Goodman, a Christian (Female) Goodman, and others. Please write if you have Goodmans in Sangamon County. Thanks, Matthew
