Memorial inscriptions for the burial of Jean Sloan Law and Stewart Law in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg, Illinois

Jean Sloan (b 19 Oct 1869) married Stewart Law (b 21 Feb 1866) in Scotland. In 1893 they immigrated to PA and he worked in the coal mines in Washington and Fayette Counties. Later they moved to Brushy Township, Saline County, ILL where he was a coal miner.

Jean's living relatives claim she died on 7 June 1920 in Harrisburg, but in the 1930 US census, she is shown living with Stewart. I can find no obit for Jean and the information from her descendants show a MI to JANUE Law died June 7, 1920. I have never found this spelling of Jean in any census.

I have Stewart's obituary for when he died on Nov 27, 1942. He is buried in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg, ILL. However, his obit does not refer to his wife and her burial. One would assume they would be buried together.

Anyone living near the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg who might be able to look up their burial plots could conceivably clear up this mystery. I would be very appreciative for any help in this matter.

My mother was named after Jean Sloan Law, carrying the name of Jean Law McInnes. Thus, I have a stake in trying to understand these events.

Thanks in advance
