Missouri Marriage
RECORDS, 1805-2002
A dual marriage license/certificate of marriage was granted to EARL EDWARD WITBRACHT,and BERNADINE LENA
RUEHMKORFF, both of
Percy,
Illinois. Bernadine was 18 years old, and Earl was "over 21," which is all the form asked for. They were married in Perryville,
Perry County,
Missouri on May 2, 1942, though both of them were from
Percy,
Randolph County,
Illinois. (See above: he went into military service two months later.)
I found an obit and a Social Security Death Index record for Bernadine [
RUEHMKORFF] Witbracht, but couldn't get the Ancestry obit archive to cough up the whole obit. She was born 17 Jan 1926 and died 8 Sep 2004 in
Percy.
There were at least two other WITBRACHT families in the
Percy area during Earl's lifetime, but I do not know how they were related. As a lot of what I found relates to living people, I'm not posting it at this time.
