My maiden name is Creely and I cannot find anything on my great great grandfather, Robert Creely (was spelled differently at that time) before he married Mildred Dandridge in 1841 in Lawrence County, Alabama. Robert and Mildred settled in what is now Lee County, Mississippi around 1848 and purchased land (at that time the land was in Pontotoc and Itawamba Counties - Lee County had not been formed). Robert died in 1856 leaving Mildred with several children, my great grandfather was James Lewis (Jimmie) and was one of the youngest. A lot of the land purchased by Robert and Mildred is still in the Creely family.
Do you have any Creely males that would be interested in a DNA testing project? My father who is 80 just had the DNA testing done through Ancestry.com.
Would like to have any info you have on the Creelys.

Natalie
