7 years after her mother, Rachel C. BRANDO(W) died in 1892, Mary Eva HOPKINS adopted a 6-month old infant from Chicago Foundling Home and brought her to her Father’s home in Granville in January, 1899 (from taken from the Putnam Record, Hennepin, Il January 19, 1899 ). She named her Madelene Elizabeth HOPKINS. Eva then died soon after. We know that in 1910 little Madelene was living with Eva’s sister, Margaret HOPKINS FRENCH. Madelene’s only surviving son is 92 years old and would love to know more about her before it is too late-what happened to her in between 1903-1910? I have some pictures of her with a woman and small children who can’t be Margaret HOPKINS FRENCH because her children were older. Anyone know more about Madelene’s biological family?
