Miller Echols in IL 1850 is not Milner:
WALTON CO., GA 1850 census
#560
Milner Echols 78 m VA
Susannah 62 f "
I doubt Miller was b. IL as IL didn't become a state till 1818, after becoming a territory with the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. The 1850 IL census is the only mention I've found of Miller. My best guess is they came from KY because that's where Augustus was born. If someone were to put a gun to my head & require me to guess, I'd guess Phebe was a dau or gdau.
