Seeking information on Robert Moss Modglin (b. 1844 in IL-d. 1919 in Saline Co., IL), whose mother's name was Chloe Ann (or Clara Ann; b. ca. 1822 in IL), and whose paternal grandmother's name was Fanny (b. ca. 1792 in GA), neither of whose maiden names are known to me. This family of Modglins appears to have been in Pope Co., IL, before moving to Saline Co. Robert M. Modglin married Sarah Jane Harris (b. 1852/3 in KY-d. 1920 in Saline Co., IL) in 1867. Sarah was reputed to be a full-blooded American Indian. Their children who lived to adulthood were Sarah (1869-1937; married John A. Milligan), Robert (born 1874), Henry (born c.1875), John (born c.1879), Frank (born 1884), Gertrude (1886-1943; married Lewis M. Hull), Nellie (born 1888; married Fran Stilley), and Sophia (1890/1-1966; married Lucian Gibbons, son of John D. and Julia Ann Isabelle [Wasson] Gibbons). Any information will be greatly appreciated.
