The following is from the obituary of Mary's brother, John H. Curnes in The Osceola (Iowa) Democrat, 23 February 1905: "He also leaves to survive him two sisters and four brothers; Mrs. Lizzie Campbell of Neillsvill, Wis., Mrs. Mary Plummer of Pittsfield, Illinois, Philip and R.F. Curnes of Colorado Springs, George Curnes of Los Angeles, Cal. and A.B. Curnes of Leavenworth, Kansas, none were present on account of the distance to come and sickness in their family. "
