Hi You will have to see Peck Cemetery to believe. It is located North and a little west of the town. the churches are in town. I can check in Piatt county Hist. to see if we have a list of burials....Peck is actually located in Macon County, Illinois. I do have a listing of all the names in the Cerro Gordo cemetery that is on the edge of town. Several years ago, vandalism was found to be at the cemetery. The Road is closed but one can walk down and back to the stones...kinda spoooooky. come visit...........lucia

Thanks Lucia for the response. Could you check your list for the names of any Roderick burials please.
Perry Rhoderick d. 23 July 1913 is in the Peck Cemetery according to obituary; wife Mary Ellen (Minnie)

John Roderick d. 1869 (IL Mortality Schedule) while visiting son near Oakl;ey

His son John Roderick died in 1861 in Piatt Co the year that the Roderick families moved to Illinois

Another Parry Roderick and wife Lydia is supected to have been buried in the Peck Cemetery.

Most of these folks were members of the Church of Brethren at Cero Gordo. I wonder if they have any old records, or do they still exist as a church.

Lucia- Thanks for the info on Phillips burial in Peck Cemetery. My record shows that they are the daughters of Enoch and Anna Roderick of Coshocton County, Ohio where they are buried in the Ferguson Cemetery. I have not been able to connect Anna Rodrick with my ancestors in Coshocton Co, Ohio at this point.

The Phillips girls must have had husbands that may also be buried in Peck Cemetery

Have yu been able to identify any more Roderik burials in that cemetery.?I know several were.

Thanks Lucia- I'll get back to you. Incidentally, I was born in Decatur but left at age 16 to join the army. I am a veteran on D-Day Normandy and other battles in Europe. I have live in California since 1965 just 30 milews north of San Diago on the coast.

I have been looking for my gg grandfather's grave site for many years. John Roderick m. Matilda Benjamin in Coshocton Co., Ohio, moved to Clay Co. IN (1860 ce) and died there that year or in Piatt Co, IL. Matilda lived through 3 more husbands. She was difficult to chase down as well. Isn.t genealogy fun. Dave

Incidentally, Matilda (Benjamin) Roderick was buried in the Franz Cemetery near Oakley. Do you have any records of that cemetery? Dave

I do see Alvie P. Roderick (nov 11, 1908-June 27, 1966)
and
Merle F Roderick 1931-1942

Where else can I look see ya lucia
