Harry Luepkes
MOUNT MORRIS,
Illinois — Harry A. Luepkes, 93, of 3747 W. state
Route 64,
Mount Morris, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at KSB Hospital. He farmed in the area, was
a milk hauler and was employed by
Kable Printing Co., Mount Morris, as a paper
handler in the roto pressroom, retiring in 1976.
Mr. Luepkes was born June 1, 1911, in Chana, the son of
Abe and Jenny (
Boom)
Luepkes. He served in the
Army during World War II. He married May Rose
Miller on
Jan. 25, 1947, in Sycamore. He was a member of Graphic Arts International
Communications Union.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Pauline (Dan)
Sadler, Linda (Larry)
Krutsinger and Debbie Milliman, all of Mount Morris, Shirley
Hale of
Dixon and Diana
(Floyd)
Cox of Isanti, Minn.; a sister, Jane
Geiger of
Davis Junction; 15 grandchildren;
and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers,
Abe, Richard and John Luepkes; and a
sister,
Lida Hanson.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
Finch Funeral Home, Mount Morris, with the
Rev. Randolph
Newton of Leaf River
Baptist Church officiating. Burial is at
OakwoodCemetery, Mount Morris. Visitation is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A memorial will be established.
