appears on federal census for Randolph and St. Clair cos., Ill. (maybe he owned land in both counties or the county line went through his property?) by 1810.
was a veteran of the Revolutionary War
died 6 March, 1817 near Turkey Hill community in St. Clair Co.
buried in Carr Cemetery, today near Belleville. That cemetery was destroyed, I believe by development recently.
born 22 Apr. 1783 in Hampshire Co. (?), Va.
married Margaret Philips, 1803, in St. Clair Co.
lived in St. Clair Co., including a community called High Prairie, for the rest of his life.
died 7 Feb., 1857, in St. Clair Co., grave site not known.
