In The History of Mercer and Henderson Counties (1882), John B. Smith (1818-1892) identifies his parents as Edward Smith and Rebecca Reasoner Smith (p. 693). Is this the Rebecca Reasoner Smith living with George and Phebe Smith in the 1850 census? Any information about Rebecca would be deeply appreciated. I'd be glad to share what I do know about the Smiths who came from Muskingum and Marion County, Ohio, to Mercer County.
