I just realized I have the obit for Anna Maria Spilger Vetter Muehlfeld typed into my genealogy program:
Obituary from the Aledo Times 24 Feb 1894. "Mrs. Anna M Spilger Vetter Muehlfeldt of Marston died February 23, 1894 of paralysis and old age. Anna M. Spilger was born in Bronsweiher, Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, October 05, 1805. At the age of 14 [1819] she was confirmed and joined the Lutheran Church. In 1827 she was married to Lutwig [sic] Vetter. To this union there were six children born: Lewis Vetter of Red Oak, Iowa; John P Vetter of Buffalo Prairie; George deceased, Elizabeth deceased; George P Vetter in Iowa; and Adam, a son that died in Germany at age 5. Lutwig Vetter died in 1842, leaving widow and 5 children to mourn. In 1844 she was united in marriage to Volentine Muehlfeldt. Unto this union one son was born; John, who now resides in Hamlet. In 1856, Volentine and Anna M Muehlfeldt left the old country and sailed for America. They settled in Rock Island County where they resided until Mr. M's death in 1862. Since his death she has lived with her children. After the death of her son George, she continued to stay with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Catharine Vetter, until 4 years ago (1890) when she went to Iowa to stay with Lewis Vetter. Last fall, (1893) she came back to Marston and has made her home with Catharine Vetter until her death. She has 34 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. "
