Mrs. Bohrer Rites Monday
Funeral services have been scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday in the Methodist church for Mrs. Rosa Etta Bohrer, 73, who died at the St. Rose hospital in Great Bend, Kas., Wednesday morning. Strode Funeral home has charge of arrangements.
She was born in McLean county, Ill., on August 8, 1870, the youngest of 17 children of Robert and Miranda Collins.
She was married to Lewis D. Bohrer at LeRoy, Ill., on Thanksgiving day, November 30, 1887. They established a home in Danvers, Ill., where they lived for a number of years. After living in several other towns in that state, they moved to Minnesota, then came to Oklahoma in 1909 and lived at Norman and Edmond before moving to Stillwater.
Bohrer died while they lived here, then in 1933 she moved to where she lived with a son until her death. She was a life-long member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are her six children: Mrs. W. H. Wagy and Mrs. C. C. Courtright of Stillwater; Claude Bohrer of Johnstown, Pa.; Mrs. Charles Woolard, Salina, Kas.; Robert Bohrer, LeRoy Kas.; and Lyle Bohrer, Ellinwood, Kas. Another daughter, Mrs. A. R. Castile of Stillwater, preceded her in death.
Other survivors are 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
