Gerald was born Jan 5, 1935 in Sheboygan Falls, WI and died on Aug 25, 1987 in Woodstock.

During his time in McHenry County he owned an Open Pantry in Marengo, was a Township Supervisor and was a member of Zion Lutheran in Marengo.

He married Carol Oleson on Aug 19, 1961 somewhere in Harvard. They had at least three children Lisa (Randall Freeman); Paul (Jennifer Jording) and Sara (Tim Brown)

Gerald may have had seven grandchildren.
