John D. A. Peters, residing Marengo, IL, a farmer, age 37 was born in Wheeling, Cook County, IL to John Peters and Lucinda Countryman. This is his 2nd marriage. He married Mary E. Campbell, nee Gordon, residing in Marengo, age 38, born in Michigan City, IN to James Gordon and Mary Ann Burns. This is her 2nd marriage. They were married in Woodstock, 14 July 1899 by W. A. Cristy, Justice of the Peace. Witnesses were C. S. Robb and theo. Hamer.
