I just found out my ancestor C.C. Joy was living with his wife Eunice (Davis), sons James (age 7) and Wm (age 5), and sister-in-law Maria Davis "idiot" in Marshall, IL. I know Eunice died in 1850, and I have no other records of Maria Davis either-- but until this time they were living in Delaware County, Ohio. Afterwards C.C and sons went back to Delaware County, Ohio, and then moved to Mahaska County, Iowa.

Does anyone have further info about this family in Marshall, IL? Perhaps a burial record for Eunice JOY or Maria Davis? The census doesn't even say what town or area it was. Frustrating!
